The short version.
- Texts are account and operations notices for people who work at companies using Med Ride Platform: sign-in codes, phone verification codes, and trip, Prior Authorization and password alerts. No marketing.
- Nobody is texted until they verify their phone number with a one-time code and then tick a consent box on our website.
- Riders and patients are not texted.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- Mobile numbers and consent are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
1. The program
Program name: Med Ride Platform account and operations notifications.
Operated by: Multiverse Techs LLC, owner and operator of
medrideplatform.com.
Sent from: one toll-free number (+1 (844) 526-2736) through our SMS provider, Twilio.
Every subscribing transportation company's alerts come from this same number, so each
company alert begins with that company's name.
2. Who receives texts
- Users - people with a Med Ride Platform account at a subscribing company (company admins, managers, dispatchers, drivers, case managers and office staff) who verify their own mobile number and agree to texts.
- Subscribing companies - the phone number a company registered with (or another number its admin chooses), once an admin verifies it and agrees on the company's behalf.
Riders, patients and members are not texted by the platform.
3. How to opt in
Opt-in is on our website, by a signed-in user, and always in this order: prove the number, then agree.
3.1 A user's own phone
- The user signs in and opens Account → Text Messages, or chooses “Get codes by text message” while setting up two-step sign-in.
- They enter their mobile number and press Text me a code. We send one text containing a 6-digit code. This is the only text sent before consent.
- They type the code back and tick the consent box shown in section 4 (it is never pre-ticked). Both are required in the same step.
- We record the verified number, the date and time of consent, how it was given and the IP address it came from.
Texts are optional. A user who does not agree can use an authenticator app for sign-in codes instead, and uses the platform the same way.
3.2 A company's alert number
- A company admin opens Add-Ons → Text Message Alerts. The number the company registered with is filled in by default.
- They press Text a code; we send one text with a 6-digit code to that number.
- They type the code back and tick the company consent box in section 4. We record who agreed, when, and from which IP address.
- The admin chooses which alert types the company wants.
4. Consent wording
This is the opt-in exactly as it appears on the website.
5. Messages you will receive
In these examples, Example Transport LLC stands for whichever subscribing company an alert is about, and the codes and times are illustrative.
5.1 To a user's own phone
5.2 To a company's alert number
A company can also choose fleet alerts - a vehicle idling with no trip, needing fuel, due for an oil change or maintenance, a driver running late, and a fuel purchase, maintenance or accident being recorded - for example:
Texts never contain a rider's name, address, destination or health information. Links go only to medrideplatform.com and open only for a signed-in user of that company.
6. Frequency and cost
- Codes are sent only when you ask for one.
- Password notices are sent only when a password changes.
- Company alerts vary with the company's trip and fleet activity and the alert types it chose.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Opt out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any message. You get one confirmation and no further texts. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work, and our records are updated automatically.
You can also opt out on the website at any time:
- A user: Account → Text Messages → Stop text messages.
- A company: Add-Ons → Text Message Alerts → Stop text alerts.
Because every company shares one number, a STOP reply stops all texts from that number to your phone, whichever company they are for. Reply START to resume what a STOP turned off, or opt in again on the website. A user whose sign-in codes came by text and who opts out signs in with a recovery code, or asks their company admin to reset two-step sign-in.
8. Help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any message. The reply reads:
9. Privacy of your number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the SMS provider that delivers the messages, and only for that purpose.
A number and its consent record are kept with the user's or company's own account and are not visible to other companies on the platform. More in our Privacy Policy.
